You probably recognise this beautiful girl from our previous blog post about her Teacup Photographer portrait sessions with us here at the Northampton photo studio. If not, have a read here: Teacup Photographers of Awesomeness. So Poppy came back for another shoot. This time it was out of the studio and at the local fun fair that arrived here in Northampton. I love love love location shoots, especially for portraits. So often it is too easy to rely on studio lighting and it pushes you creatively to do on location. You will be seeing a lot more of location work from me. With her dad Simon on hand as assistant (coat holder and hot dog buyer) the shoot was brilliant.
Poppy is natural in front the camera, no lack of self confidence and always happy to take direction. She didnt actually need it. This portrait session lasted only an hour to ensure the sun started to set and the lights from the fair were brilliant as a backdrop against the night sky. I would be amiss to say that once again the amazing style of Brandon Woelfel didnt play a part in this shoot….I love his work.
