Ok so its the summer holidays here in the UK drawing to a close and I can hear the relief of some parents as they look forward to the little darlings heading back to school. However here at our Northampton photo studio, we have been running kids photography lessons. Getting the kids some hands on experience both modelling and actually shooting under guidance. We had Chelsea, Lexi and Poppy in the studio on various days both helping to style their shoots but also helping at times to shoot them.
Check out our images with Chelsea who wanted a more fantasy theme to begin with…
But soon we found that Chelsea loves fairy lights, so inspired by Brandon Woelfel work, we created her own shot. This was shot in only a few minutes but no worries, Chelsea is due back soon to do some more shoots so we can actually do something a little more planned.
We have a group we like to refer to as the Teacup Photographers. These are little photographers in the making (hence the teacup) and we work with them to create shoots but also educate them so they can go away and do their own too.
Poppy and Lexi came into the studio for their day with us. The first half consisted to them learning how to use the basic settings on the camera and then a little about posing etc.
All the below images are a mix of Poppy and Lexi taking the images. Edited by me.
we also did some shoots with them helping to style and working with different lens. Taken by me but with their input.
Its a brilliant and alternative day out for these girls. They get a shoot, they learn and work as a team to produce their own pieces of art. Cant wait for the next one.
