Client Shoot – Burlesque Photography

When Odeila Opium contacted me to photograph her, I was beyond excited. Forgive whilst I waffle on about her but to see Odelia perform is like seeing a piece of history come alive and entertain the adoring crowds. She really does stand out in burlesque from her costuming to her choice of performances piece. My current favourite act of her’s is ‘Chinese Ghost Bride’. Just wow. So being asked to photography this burlesque darling was a photographer’s dream. Burlesque is my background (and still is my other work) so doing a burlesque photography shoot for promo images was perfect.

The moon is a prop of Odelia’s from her wedding not less and the stars (With a bit of tinkering in photoshop) are hers too.

Enjoy the images. There is something so creative about burlesque photography. The clients are limitless as are the levels of creativity they project.
