You may have seen on my Facebook page I was hiring a studio in Yeovil (Slogical) to run a low cost studio day. With the day selling out very quickly, I should look to book more. Slogical is a good size studio with on site parking so perfect for clients popping in. Simon the studio owner has a good varied selection of props and stuff to use so I didnt even think to drag my Bowens down to the studio with me. Simon has Elinchrom which isnt a brand I have had much contact with in terms of using. I was surprised how lightweight they are and also the quality. Almost tempted to part with Bowens….almost.
One client who booked in was multi-talented and general beauty Tanya Rich. Those among you may already be aware of Tanya as she is part of the sensation The BelleFleurs. So basically she is a bit of a rock star and I love her. She does voice overs as well as running a sell out show in Bath for burlesque. So the woman is immense. Yes this is me fan girling. Add that she was bringing her husband who is a heady mix of vampire, Viking and fashion model it was sure to be an amazing shoot. This was a couple photo shoot to remember! I am all in love with them and there is no denying it.
Assisted by my partner in crime and life Nils Bratby . The shoot was even more wow than I thought. The end results speak for themselves. To see these two people interact with each other and the camera was a DREAM for a photographer. They know how to work the angles and NEVER was there a shot or pose I could not use.
Keen to show off the alternative and cool as hell image of my clients I had great fun playing with the final images.
