I love when clients recommend me. I recently photographed Paul (who by his own admission got a modeling contract off the back of my images of him) and he recommended me to another musician. Rebecca Downes is a vocal powerhouse. Fact. A blues singer with something very Janis Joplin in her voice. I adore her. I even managed to persuade her to do an impromptu performance so I could photograph her.

Rebecca admitted she wasnt really to comfortable in front of the camera but needed new promo images so I was happy to oblige. I fell in love with this Janis Joplin/Debbie Harry mash up of talent with such a perfect voice for blues. I mean seriously. I was catching her for a shoot just before she shot off to perform in Serbia no less so time was of the essence.

Rebecca needed images to be printed on merch so headshots and personality was needed. Inspired by the strong portraits of early Debbie Harry we worked on clean cut images and then added personality in as we went.
