I managed to acquire a rather fabulous 70s (perhaps) wedding dress and coupled with my love all things retro…I knew I had to photograph it. Thankfully I had a model coming in for a shoot in the form of my old buddy Tickety Boo (burlesque performer if you didnt know). Quite adapt to use her as she is also a rather sensational wedding planner . The dress was a perfect fit.
A few floral crowns, my own wedding veil (not married yet…) and the new studio with its bountiful locations within the grounds. We captured some bridal portraits with ever the Khandie Photography twist. I think slightly influenced by the talents of Emily Soto perhaps?
My hand made back drop came into use too I am very proud of it though it is a little short but I was tempted to leave that part exposed. I didnt this time but I am working on an image from the shoot like that. I will be sure to post that one soon.
My trusty Nikon and 50mm was out in force along with a few other lens, but the 50mm being the main workhorse for the shoot.
I even managed to alter some traditional clothing from a recent Hindu wedding I attended to fit her to create a more ‘boho’ inspired wedding outfit.
I really enjoyed the shoot. I think Tickety was perfect and the clash of her red hair with the pink hues was just ideal.
