TRIGGER WARNING – CALM The charity ‘Campaign Against Living Miserably.
Did you know that the largest killer of men under 45 is suicide? It is a horrible statistic. One that I am sorry to say we can relate to here at Khandie Photography. We have lost loved ones. We have had our hearts break. We know of people who have also experienced this and so it is time we fought to change that. We want you to join us.
What Are We Doing ?
So given that we are award winning (yeah! We just got the news) photographers, we are putting our skills and our money where our mouths are. Asking men to step forward and allow us to photograph them. They are asked only to talk or not talk about their suffering. Our Exhibition is called I Am Suffering focuses on the silent suffering of men who statistically do not reach out for help. CALM is a charity that is fighting to combat this isolation and loneliness. Our plan therefore is to curate a photography exhibition that shows men explaining their mindset and how they identify with the term I am Suffering. The images captured will be displayed and for sale with all profit going to the CALM charity. We are also looking to develop a coffee table book again with all profits going to the charity. We have already approached and been approached by a number of venues to host our exhibition. We are looking at covering all costs and so far its totally near £2000. EEKK
