I have to say I do love it when I get to photograph the men. So much of the photography world is geared towards the female of species and I cant help but fell our boys are being left out. This is one of the main reasons why I push my portraits for men. Male portrait photo sessions is something that are rapidly becoming more popular and with Christmas round the corner, I am seeing more people booking their man, dad and boyfriends in for photo shoots.
Theses photo shoots can take place in my Northampton studio but sometimes I take them on location. However for this shoot with the lovely Paul, it was in the studio.
Paul works super hard in the gym and so I wanted to capture not only his hard work rewards but also the extensive tattoo work he has. I loved the use of the smoke machine to add a bit of depth and texture. These shoots are about making him feel super comfortable and that isnt always with their shirt off. Not all men like that look so I never ‘cookie-cutter’ my photo shoots. My sessions are about making my clients stand out but how they want to.
