What a hell of a night!? The amazing Northamptonshire Rape Crisis had their charity fund raising comedy night at The Picturedrome. On the bill was a whole bevvy of ladies who were hysterical. The jokes ranged from handjobs to Bollywood movies.
Northamptonshire Rape Crisis offer counselling to victims and their families to help support them. Its a bloody damn well worthy of all the help and donations. It was an honour to be a part of the night. You can contact the charity yourself here: http://www.nricc.co.uk/
Sara Pascoe kicked off the show despite desperately needing a wee. Hahaha poor woman literally was on the toilet when her name was called to come to the stage to perform. I love her comedy. It’s not lazy. Its not easy topics. She is just funny.
Tania Edwards melted everyone’s heart when she got upset when she heard her new baby crying. We literally hollered for him to be brought to the stage for her. I think her tears just made me more awesome. Odd as that sounds. She is one I will definitely go watch again.
Vanessa Hammick welcomed the crowd back after a short intermission. She was a great act and made a lot of people howl with laughter. Her jokes about her fella were my favourite.
Lou Sanders made me laugh way too much. I barely remembered to take photos of her. Her tips for life were a high point for me. Brilliantly witty and talented person.
Ishi Khan-Jackson ended the night and was well worth the wait. Her physical comedy and play on stereotypes was very clever. Such a lovely lady too.
