God, I loved this maternity shoot.

Some time ago, Michaela nominated her man for  a Man Hunt Shoot competition and he won! Anyway the pair went off and had an amazing wedding overseas and boom now Michaela is about to give birth to their first (of many planned) child. I was beyond ecstatic for this pair as they have a special place in my heart. Further more, Michaela wanted me to photograph her bump for a pregnancy/maternity shoot.

There was a clear theme for this shoot. Michaela didnt want the standard black and white posed bump photoshoot. She wanted a pregnancy shoot that was about her and her philosophy of being a warrior woman. She wanted it to be soft yet strong, feminine and beautiful. She didnt want the marks of motherhood and pregnancy removed which I found incredibly wonderful and empowering. A true reflection of her and her journey.

We did a variety of looks for the shoot but I am only sharing a small number, the rest are for the happy couple. These are some of my favourites from the shoot. She is a beautiful mother to be I think you will agree.
