You thought your first dance would have you nervous? Nah that wasnt enough for Sammi-Jo and Rick at their Bilsworth wedding. Rick performed with the band and wowed the crowd with not only his guitar skills but vocal prowess. Sammi-Jo stepping in as a gogo dancer/backing singer. It was so cool it was bad ass. With their festival themed wedding, with gin pimping station, TWO wedding cakes (one of sponge and one of mega mountain of cheese) this was a wedding that even had me on the bouncy castle. I mean sure some photographers may worry about taking thousands of pounds worth of camera equipment on a bouncy castle but not. Totally worth it.
The pair married in the nearby Bilsworth Baptist Chapel with the sun streaming in. There was fits of giggles and squeals of delight as the congregation saw beautiful Sammi-Jo make her entrance into the chapel and she took their breath away. Their daughter reading a beautiful speech she had written welcoming their new marriage into the world and there wasnt a dry eye in the room.
The party kicked off back at the nearby barn of The Royal Oak, decorated with so much love and care by members of their family with Rick’s sister leading the team. The kids had their faces painted, the adults drank gin, prosecco and the bride did shots of with her bride tribe. The party went long into the night, bubbles and a bouncy castle to keep everyone happy. The food was plenty and can we give a super special shout out to the samosas that were utterly divine. Gone in 60 seconds!
Their couple shots were some of my favourites as we got to get super creative, breaking out my Lensbaby lens and going for a wander away from the party.
Can we also admire the beautiful hand painted leather jacket Sammi-Jo wore!?
*raises a glass to the happy couple and necks it*
