Hightailing up the road to a pretty village location outside of Manchester to photograph a lovely wedding inspired by summer fetes and festivals. Surrounded by friends and family, this couple’s long distance relationship finally came home and was shared with all those dear to the couple. Whilst the rain threatened to pour all day, it stayed away. The day was a beautiful blend of live music, squealing kids and giggling bridesmaids.
The ceremony happened under a pretty cascade of fabric and flowers in front of all the friends. The evening reception happened in the same location under canvas with friends coming from all over the UK to provide entertainment and music. One of my favourite local Northampton bands Kings Gambit even showed to do a set. I do love them dearly so if you see them on a bill local to you, GO!
Friends even helped out on the day with donating to a honeymoon fund for this young couple, plus other things. Getting married is expensive. Very at times. So it was lovely people helped out. There was food aplenty and people were loving the whole vibe of the day. There were so many little details like the flowers being sourced from local markets, the wedding cake made by the groom’s sister (it was delicious!!!) and as mentioned before the music.
People camped over the day before and the night of the wedding to really bring the wedding festival vibe to life. The happy couple had their own tent for the night that was decorated by the bridal party. I managed a sneak peek and it was hilarious!
I was sad to drive back to Northampton when the time came but I saw two beautiful people join together in union that was ideal.
