What isnt to love about a motorbike festival? Trip Out Festival is hard to beat. Bijou but perfectly formed. The food alone (cinnamon doughnuts anyone?!) was brilliant. The people literally were the nicest I have EVER met at any festival. I had people high fiving me, complimenting me and offering to help me with my stuff. Not to mention letting me ask possibly naive questions about the building of their bikes. The skateboarders really showed off their powess once again. I dont think these guys are susceptible to gravity like the rest of us. They just fling about in their own orbit off the ramp and smack down again when the time suits them. This is officially a face of jealously. Especially as I managed to twice fall over my own feet on the grass. Yeah..and I was sober and wearing boots. I mean…come on!!!
If you have yet to go to Trip Out, I highly recommend it. It is now in its new location in Suffolk in Rendlesham on the Bentwaters Airfield. Its friggin awesome. Hard standing but still loads of pine trees and greenery that you think you are in the wilderness. Well sort of. The roar of motorbikes is pretty hard to ignore and who would want to?! There is even shopping and what impressed more was how affordable everything was. I didnt have to remortgage my house to buy lunch for me and the lads. Coffee was high street prices, there was plenty of beers and music. I friggin love it. Honestly. I am going back next year for sure.
