You Gotta Take The Down With The Up
Recently myself and the whole team have been working flat out. We have this month alone shot 6 fashion campaigns, 10 portrait session, 4 family sessions, 3 weddings and not to mention a whole heap of smaller photography assignments. It has been busy. I have even worked on our ‘closed’ days to ensure deadlines are met. So this weekend (especially as it was my birthday) I told the whole team to down tools and rest up. We all needed it. So often we work ourselves into the ground so we can take time out but this time, I was ensuring we didnt exhaust ourselves. That we worked hard but got the rewards. It was the first hot weekend of the year and I was determined to enjoy it.
So I went out on my travels. Southsea in Portsmouth, Whipsnade and locally jaunts. I didn’t celebrate my birthday in fact. It wasnt what was planned but it is what happened. I have come back to the studio with the team refreshed and already working hard on doing new YouTube videos for our ever increasingly popular channel: Khandie On YouTube. There are new shoots planned and we are super PROUD to hear our clients have nominated us for a Muddy Stilleto Award for Best Photographer. You too can nominate us and other small businesses here: https://northants.muddystilettos.co.uk/vote/photographer/
Getting time away has been a brilliant way for myself and the team to be more focused. Time out and down time is a great way to reflect and appreciate just how far you have come. nearly 3 yrs I have had this studio. It was an empty shell of a room pretty much. Now? Its a thriving business and I couldnt be prouder.
Images are a mix of my time at Southsea Skate Park, Whipsnade Zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium. Mostly shot on my Lensbaby Twist 60 (you can tell those by the awesome swirly bokeh backgrounds). Enjoy some of the photography moments I captured on the much needed downtime.
